How to get started? Just takes 3 easy steps!

Step 1

Gather Information!

Many times, parents or caregivers want to seek services but are unsure which way to turn, or who to talk to about their questions or concerns. The best thing you can do is to FIRST understand what a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD) truly means. Getting the foundational understanding of what your child may be experiencing will help guide you into the next steps.

  • Speak with your child’s doctor (pediatrician or family physician) to share your concerns. They can assist with determining if an autism evaluation is needed.
  • You may also consider contacting your local school district for an Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) or special education evaluation (can be done before age 3 if there are concerns).
  • Additional links are provided to help you prepare your family for what you need!

Step 3

What comes next?

After evaluations at The Bridge Autism Clinic, we focus on understanding the results and creating a plan that best supports your child and family. We evaluate based on what type of therapy services would be more aligned with your goals.

In ABA therapy, we design each child's treatment plan based on a number of factors including:

  • Communication
  • self-care
  • social and peer skills
  • School readiness
  • Reduction of challenging behaviors
  • And so much more!!!
